How it began?
The Beginning of Allbirds. Founded by the native of New Zealand, Tim Brown with the help of Joey Zwillinger, an engineer and renewables expert, they defined the epitome of a smart company. They began with working on ideas for sustainable footwear for the brand, working on the elements needed, the techniques used and how to make the practice, more innovative. The first step to creating a sustainability friendly environment was to analyze all the correct elements needed for the production. The Research took a certain amount of time to find the correct techniques.

The Brand states how most of the products worn by a customer is made out of Plastic, derived from Oil, a fossil fuel. It was time to change.
WOOL
“Merino wool is one of the natural materials in our repertoire. Merino wool comes from sheep. No surprises there, but what’s exciting about this connection is that sheep can help reverse climate change by speeding up the carbon storage process through regenerative practices. Simply by doing sheep things like eating grass and stimulating plant growth (reminder: plants take in carbon dioxide as they grow), they represent a great ally on our mission to reduce our footprint.”
Regeneration
TREE
Eucalyptus tree fiber-TENCEL is sourced directly from South Africa is used for the production. The growth of these fibers relies directly on the rainfall. No artificial methods are needed. This leads to the reduction of 95% usage of water, a smart technique indeed.
SUGAR
Not only this procedure reduces the carbon intake from the atmosphere, the sourcing from Brazil has helped in saving water too. They rely completely on the rainwater for its irrigation.
TRINO
A fusion of Eucalyptus Tree fiber and Merino Wool, termed TRINO, used to create Yarns. The escalated version of TRINO, called TRINOXO is referred as an ExoSkeleton of the former.
One of the most important goals for them has become to remove Carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. Using certain techniques and procedures is helping them in attaining them. Other materials used include:
