Today I want to introduce you to an extraordinary artist that I met a few months ago. After seeing some of his work, I became convinced that he should show you his works or at least those concerning fashion and sustainability. There’s no better way to do this than through an editorial we called Survivor.
These jewels have caught my attention because they are unique in their shape, with a simple but elegant style at the same time. Of course, like in love, after the first visual impressionvyou get to know your new crush more deeply.
This is how its creator Francesco Schiavone kindly explained to me the process these jewels were made by. They’re handmade and in pure silver. What I enjoyed the most is the process. The designer uses recycled silver, melts it in a process that doesn’t require chemicals and uses little water. Being manual work, it requires precision and skill as well as avoiding the use of chemical components as it works by melting the piece to be heated. Being pure silver, it’s always possible to restore it to its natural state to reuse the material.
